Café de olla and chocolate

This recipe has the traditional flavor of café de olla with cinnamon and cloves, but with a slight touch of chocolate. It’s the perfect drink to start the morning, alongside your Rifel walnut muffins, or enjoy it at night with a piece of Rifel bread.

Recipe for: 10 servings

Ingredients and measurements:

  • 6 cups of water
  • 2 cups of table chocolate
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • 1/2 cup of coffee

 

 

 

Preparation:

  • Heat the water until it boils.
  • Once it boils, add the chocolate, cinnamon, and cloves, then reduce the heat.
  • Stir constantly and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Add the coffee and turn off the heat.
  • Stir and let it rest for 20 minutes until the coffee settles at the bottom.
  • Strain the coffee and serve in a cup.
  • It’s ready! You can now enjoy it, accompanied by your favorite Rifel bread.
